I've had those StAnzas (go to heaps of stuff, end up sitting on the beach when your head's about to explode with new intake, feel good about some bits and really unsettled by others...). Interesting mix of observations too - good job.
xRachel Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11803852725693518924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28238816.post-83221978631369359832011-03-23T15:21:05.092+00:002011-03-23T15:21:05.092+00:00sunny, thankyou and welcome to my blog! :)

Something else I've noticed is poets and speech impediments, two prominent poets I heard had a stutter - flawless when reading the poetry but it came out in the conversation, I imagine it must take a lot of guts to get up in front of an audience with a speech impediment.

hi elizabeth, yes I found it hard to watch too. felt almost voyeuristic in a way, all of us just sitting there watching her squirm. and yet by our presence forcing her to go on with the reading.

hi titus, it really was a wonderful weekend and shug was super as of course you well know :)Marion McCreadyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04657757253873577465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28238816.post-74597670489826185062011-03-22T13:51:13.518+00:002011-03-22T13:51:13.518+00:00Oh, thank you Marion. I'm going to block off the dates next year and make sure I get there.

Such a variety of perspectives to be had, obviously. And thanks for the introduction to Barbara Guest, who I haven't read.

Of course the Rev McMillan was highlight! He is a great reader, isn't he. I heard through the Penpont grapevine (Mrs Shug to Mr T) that he had a great time too.Titushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16380213493011623153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28238816.post-22325549181198598832011-03-22T08:08:58.587+00:002011-03-22T08:08:58.587+00:00I was uncomfortable too. So I think the answer to your question (*sigh*) might be "yes".

:(deemikayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01421704728979191339noreply@blogger.com
