The St. Andrews University run poetry magazine, The Red Wheelbarrow, have accepted my poem 'Becoming Spring' for publication!!
This is my longest outstanding poetry submission (seven months) so it's a relief to get a reply at all but wonderful to have a poem accepted!
It's a great wee magazine, produced biannually, each issue is thick with poems by a good mix of well known and unknown names plus interviews, reviews and poetry-related essays so you really feel you're getting your money's worth out of it.
Off to celebrate by taking the dog and pram for a walk in the rain along the promenade to a nice wee coffeeshop where I shall pick up a large takeaway coffee mocha!

Congratulations. It really couldn't happen to a more deserving person. I hope your double excamation mark doesn't indicate that you are surprised. You are entitled to be delighted, but not surprised. Seriously, though, I am delighted for you.

thanks dave! being fairly new to all this publishing malarky I am surprised when someone publishes my poems, in this case I'd just about given up hearing anything at all.

Me again!
Some days (weeks?) ago I was tagged from that very delightful blog AcornMoon to provide seven facts about myself (unusual ones if possible, I think it said - absolutely impossible, of course!). Having done which, I was then to tag seven others to do likewise, and finally to leave a message with each to let them know they had been tagged.

The first part of the challenge will be discharged on my blog with a post scheduled for tomorrow.
You willhave guessed by now that you are one of my choices for Part 2. Please regard it as a suggestion only - I would not like anyone to feel compelled in any way to pick it up, but if you feel able and willing, please go to my blog any time from tomorrow (Thursday) onwards for the full details, post your seven revelations abut yourself on your own blog, then choose another seven blogs and pass the challenge on. Good luck!
