Had the baby and glad to be back!

Baby Ruby arrived on her due date (26th Sep) and my wee boy broke our computer the day after. Just had it fixed and this is my first time online since. It's great to be back online and even better to have the birth over and done with!!
The baby is doing really well and I'm looking forward to catching up with all of your blogs and poetry news and maybe get a bit of writing done also!

Delighted to have you back and to hear that all went well. I take it you'll be changing your profile picture soon then. As for all the stuff you've got planned... Good luck with that. And you might be lucky. I remember sitting beside my daughter's cot about thirty years ago waiting for her to wake up that first night and the wee bugger never did. I think she had us up once in the night as a baby. Once she could walk she'd appear beside the bed every now and then but that wasn't such a problem usually. Now I can't hear from her enough.

Congratulations - great to read your voice again - if that's the right way of putting it. Anyway, welcome back, and hugs to Ruby (I had a doll called Ruby when I was wee - there's a poem about that).

thanks everyone, it's so good to be back online again.

she was weighed this morning and has lost some weight which is a bit stressful considering she feeds all the time (breastfeeding), seems to be no good reason for it apart from the fact breastfed babies sometimes do. but if she hasn't put weight on by next week then it will be a worry, apart from that she seems to be doing fantastic - a happy, content wee soul.

Congratulations!

I've been away from checking blogs for a bit (still over 500 posts to go!).

She looks lovely and happy from the pics. :)
