Branches' suggests trees and nor flowers. Perhaps 'stems'? The whole orchid tubers is new to me and it was interesting reading about it. That, perhaps, is the main problem here but that's often the case with your poems, they hinge on a bit of mythology or history that isn't familiar to most people. Perhaps a wee footnote?

is there a mythology of orchid tubers?

i love the distance this moves from beginning to end, an "opening and opening," yes :-)

i kind of like the subversive nature of orchid tubers and flowers in tea cups is all too familiar in a tea lover's households. tiffany lamps jarred with me a bit tho...

I've just bought a tiffany lamp... lol!
