I've decided to start thinking about putting together another pamphlet collection.
I was originally working towards a full-length collection but I feel I've been writing in a limbo-period over the last year-and-a-half and now I've come back to myself and I want to put the post-Vintage Sea poems behind me into their own wee pamphlet home and start on something new and focused. It's very exciting / exhilarating starting to put a submission together, I already have a provisional title for a collection and I only really decided last night. Of course, there's no guarantee that anyone will publish it but at the start of the process, before all of the rejections, it's all good fun! :)

this is exciting :-) i wish you the best of luck in finding a publisher. certainly the poems you have been posting deserve it!!
and it isn't really a choice between a pamphlet or a full-length collection, is it? the poems from a pamphlet can go later into a larger book ...
thankyou :) only a few if you're lucky to get away with it, I would have thought?
it depends :-)
i've seen full-length collections that were really just three or four previously published pamphlets bound together into one volume, but that does feel a bit dodgy ...
on the other hand, if the poems from a pamphlet fit logically into the structure of a larger work, then i don't see anything wrong with using them ...
ahh... good to know :)
Whoo-hoo! Don't care if there are previous pamphlet poems in collections or not, but whatever you end up with, exciting!
thankyou :) glad to see you've survived the Olympic chaos!!
Hi Marion,
Your poems deserve publication in whatever form. Its good to know there will be more soon.
Best
thanks alan. and I reciprocate that comment wholeheartedly :)
oooh - i can't wait!!!
:-)
Oh good to hear you're working on another pamphlet. I think you can include some poems from a pamphlet in a larger book. I even included one poem from my first pamphlet in my second pamphlet, because it fitted both publications and as far as I'm aware no-one's complained or reported me to the poetry publishing standards authority...
thanks Juliet :) that's good to know...!
