I think working at one's own pace is the best way...that's one of the things I like about writing poetry. If I wanted to write to order every day I'd go and get a regular writing job (journalism...advertising..) - one that pays regularly too. Still, you got some good writing out of it so far. Well done!
thanks rachel, I'm not really one for writing to order either but I found this a good exercise in that it forced me to squeeze the most out of whatever temporary muse is occupying my mind to write poems I never otherwise would have written.
